Booking A Business Hotel - Is Good Coffee The Real Decision Maker?
OK we all have been there booking a hotel to arrange a business meeting and there a number of different boxes that the hotel has the tick before you decide to give the business to them!
Location is this suitable? Suitable size room? Appropriate equipment? Professional Service? Parking?
So all things been equal between your top 3 selected hotels what is the real factor that makes you choose your hotel? Is the personal service? or maybe it is the standard of coffee that is served during the that all important mid morning break? What?
As a coffee drinker myself I do believe that the quality of the coffee has an emotional influence! At least you know if everything else doesn’t go as smoothly as anticipated in your meeting at least the quality of the coffee will be good!
We all have been in a meeting and the coffee break comes and you head for the coffee pot pour yourself a cup that you have been waiting for. The coffee smells good and is hot just the way you like it but when you take the first sip this all evaporates as the coffee tastes like warmed up dish water! So how does this happen? Well in most hotels the coffee that they use is “instant catering coffee” this coffee comes in large containers and is grounded into a dust like form so when you get your coffee at your mid morning break you are really getting a weakened version of coffee!
So I guess we are on the look out for hotels that provide grounded coffee and not the instant version! If you have any suggestions let me know and we will give the hotel a mention!
