The question Ihave is do management companies do a good job?  I suppose the question what does a management company do firstly needs to be answered?  As far as I can make out a management company is formed for every new apartment development and they engage a property management agent to undertake the work that is required to maintain the building. 

What work does this entail?  As far as I am aware the property management agent duties can range from management of waste removal, to the up keep of common areas, upkeep of the grounds, collection of the managment company service charge, dealing with residents queries, resolving any problems that residents may have.  They also look after the management of energy and insurance cost of the development.

The next questions is do the property management companies carry out a good Job?

I suppose in many ways residents are unaware of the work that goes on, this is mainly due to the fact that the majority of work is carried out when most of the residents are at work so the never see it going on.  They just see the results such as the well maintained common areas, landscape and their rubbish has been taken away!

I know that there has been mixed reviews about the management companies and property management agents however In the development I live in I have to complement the property management agents they seem to have a good presence and all of the necessary work appears to be carried out!

Maybe I am a lucky one?

Over the past 12 months the rates at Dublin Hotels have been dropping at a steady rates and finally the D4 Hotels took the plunge and went out with a low cost rate, it got a great reaction and plenty of business?
